On May 18, a new exhibition created through the collaboration between the Department of Art History at the University of Zadar and the Municipal Museum Makarska will open to the public.
The exhibition Dialogues with the Landscape is conceived as a reflection on the cultural landscape of the St. Peter Peninsula in Makarska, viewed through the prism of the continuous relationship between human presence and space.
Through contemporary artistic practices, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between past and present, personal experience and collective memory, as well as the visible and hidden layers embedded within the landscape itself.
The landscape is approached not merely as a visual motif, but as a space of identity, emotion, transformation, and belonging.
The artistic interpretations brought together within the exhibition examine our relationship with heritage, the environment, and the spaces that shape both individual and collective experience.
A special segment of the exhibition is dedicated to the visual and multimedia works of artist Lina Rica, whose contemporary artistic expression further expands the dialogue between landscape, memory, and identity.
At the same time, the exhibition raises important questions concerning the preservation of shared spaces and their significance for future generations.
See you at 7 PM!
